David Trebeck

David Trebeck

David Trebeck was an economic consultant for over 20 years, having co-founded ACIL Consulting’s (later ACIL Tasman’s) Canberra business in 1983. He has provided advice to corporations, industry associations and public sector bodies across all sectors of the economy with a particular interest in microeconomic reform, shipping and waterfront reform, the automotive industry, agriculture and agribusiness, and the food processing, fisheries and forestry industries. In March 2005 he was appointed a Commissioner of the National Water Commission.

Mr Trebeck is a director of the publicly listed Graincorp Ltd (and Chairman of its Board Audit Committee). He is a director of Maersk Australia Pty Ltd and a member of the AP Moller-Maersk Business Co-ordination Board for the Oceania region, a board member of the Institute of Public Affairs, and a director of ABN 60 Pty Ltd and National Grazing Services Pty Ltd.

Mr Trebeck is a former director of Incitec Pivot Ltd, Incitec Limited, and Pipers Brook Vineyard Ltd, and was a Deputy Director of the National Farmers’ Federation, a board member of the former Australian Meat and Livestock Corporation, and is a Churchill Fellow. He has livestock and cropping interests on the south west slopes of NSW.
